5 tips for healthier hair.

Keeping hair looking luscious and healthy in between salon visits can be tricky sometimes. Here are 5 tips to help out between salon visits!

1. Your Hair is a Window to Your Health

If your hair is dry, brittle or looks lifeless, there's probably something going on. If you're eating well and sleeping through the night, and you haven't gone crazy with dyes and styling products that dry out your hair, then it could be a health issue.

The most common issue is that you’re not getting enough of the right nutrients, minerals and vitamins. This can be remedied by changing your diet to incorporate more protein, biotin and green vegetables.

2. Drink Plenty Of Water

Drinking plenty of clean water every day is another way of helping to keep your hair healthy. Water helps to keep your body hydrated hence keeping your hair and skin functioning perfectly. It is advisable to drink at least eight glasses of water everyday.

3. Scalp Massage

The circulation of blood into your hair follicles is important too. This is achieved by giving yourself a scalp massage a few minutes before going to bed or before shampooing your hair. All you need to do is use your fingertips to rub your scalp in a circular motion for a few minutes. I usually add oil what I do this for myself.

4. The Sun Can Do Damage

Just like your skin, your hair is susceptible to damage from the sun. So, cover up if you're going to spend all day out in the sun. There are a lot of cute hats out there! It's one thing to let your natural hair color get a bit lighter with exposure to sunlight. However, if you've dyed your hair, don't expose it to too much sunlight because the color will fade.

5. Avoid Shampoos With Sulfates

One of the best things you can do is to wash your hair with a quality natural shampoo. This means avoiding any shampoo that contains sulfates or other harmful chemicals. You can reach out to me for recommendations.
